It is with a heavy heart we had to say goodbye to our society friend and donor, Fred Ransom. We wish Patricia and Fred's boys the best. Fred will be missed for his opinions, his willingness to help the museum, wanting no recognition -- a truly giving man. We will forever see the Shay Cabin hooked to his crane swmging down the boulevard, praying it would get the museum in one piece. And it did, as well as the Stamp Mill and Assay Office.

**NEWS FLASH! We just got word, that the Historical Museum, hopefully, will be getting our last long time pioneer Fred Ransom's personal Bar Stool from Chad's. Signed and many times repaired by Fred. He was on it nearly every Friday night for the decades he lived in the valley. No one else was allowed to sit on that stool. We are working on getting this one-of-a-kind artifact for the Shay Cabin where he would have wanted it to be.
